Jason Curiano has a unique experience when it comes to Datto. Before joining the company last year, Jason worked with a Datto partner for three years and got to know Datto pretty well.
Now, Jason is on the other side working as the Tech Services Junior Administrator at Datto. While he works in the Norwalk office, Jason’s role encompasses multiple time zones and every Datto office across the globe. The Tech Services team is based solely in Norwalk, although they work around the clock to serve our other locations in Monroe, Boston, Rochester, Canada, England, Australia, Singapore, and Portland.
A typical day for Jason involves handling the internal ecosystem and infrastructure for Datto. His responsibilities can range from routine maintenance, new systems implementations, productivity tools, automation, and more.
“Every employee at Datto is essentially my customer, and by proxy, all of our partners. That involves making sure we are serving them and by providing the best availability, scalability, and security for our internal infrastructure. Thinking about the best way to enable productivity for all employees each and every day,” he said.
Since Datto is a 24/7 company with offices around the globe, supporting the entire company is no small task. “It has been a challenge I have enjoyed taking on. No matter when or where it is, there is someone at a Datto office.”
According to Jason, Datto is a great place to work because you have the flexibility and freedom that allows you to innovate and find new solutions for everyday issues. “If you think you can improve something, you can take that action here and champion that cause. Everyone here is encouraged to share their ideas, and everyone is receptive. “At Datto, knowing that the past isn’t the future, and finding a better way to solve a problem becomes a standard way of thinking,” said Jason.
In recognition of his efforts and innovation, Jason was honored with the DattoByte award. The DattoByte is a prestigious award handed out once a month to one employee who exemplify Datto’s core values or go above and beyond in their job function to make a difference to employees or partners.
“I was appreciative and honored to be recognized in front of the entire company for the work I had done. I get to interface with all levels of the company, so it was great to receive positive feedback from various parts of the company,” said Jason.
